Salesforce certifications and clouds come first

Salesforce hiring in India is dominated by consulting partners, and partners need certified staff to maintain their partner status. That makes certifications unusually important: recruiters often search for "Platform Developer I", "PD1" or "Administrator" before reading anything else. List each certification with its month and year, and mention the most important one in your summary.

Also name the clouds you have worked on: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Field Service or industry clouds such as Financial Services Cloud. Projects are often staffed by cloud, so "Salesforce developer" alone is too vague. Add your Trailhead rank only if it is high, and never list badges as a substitute for project work.

Apex and LWC bullets that show real development

Salesforce resumes often blur admin configuration and development work. Separate them clearly, because developer interviews focus on Apex, triggers, LWC, asynchronous processing and integrations.

• Weak: Worked on Apex and LWC.
• Strong: Built 14 Lightning Web Components for booking and payment schedules used by 220 sales users.
• Weak: Wrote triggers.
• Strong: Replaced legacy automation with bulkified Apex triggers and Flows, removing CPU time-limit errors.

Mention governor limits, test coverage, deployment tools (change sets, Salesforce CLI, Copado or Gearset) and integrations with ERP, payment or telephony systems. These details show that you can work safely in a production org.

Moving from Salesforce admin or fresher to developer

Many Salesforce developers in India start as administrators or join as freshers through partner training programmes. If you are moving from admin to developer, keep your admin work but add a separate development section: Apex classes, triggers or LWC components you built, even in a personal Developer Edition org, with a short description of the business problem.

Freshers should complete the Administrator or Platform Developer I certification and build two or three small apps, such as a leave-request app with approval Flows and an LWC dashboard, then describe them as projects. Format and template for IT resumes

Most IT applications in India go through Naukri, LinkedIn, company career portals or a vendor's applicant tracking system before a human reads them. Use a clean, single-column or light two-column layout with standard headings such as Summary, Skills, Experience, Projects, Education and Certifications, so the parser can read every section.

Keep the resume to one page if you have under four years of experience and two pages after that. Put your tech stack near the top, but group it (Languages, Frameworks, Databases, Cloud and Tools) instead of listing thirty logos. Add your GitHub, portfolio or LinkedIn link only if it is up to date. Leave out photo, date of birth, marital status and a declaration unless an employer specifically asks for them.
