Show call volume and conversions on a telecaller resume
Recruiters hiring telecallers for banks, NBFCs, insurance agencies, real estate firms and BPOs want to know two things: can you handle a high number of calls every day, and do those calls turn into results? Put your daily call count and your conversion target in the summary.
Results depend on the process. In loans it is logins or disbursals, in insurance it is policies sold, in real estate it is site visits booked, and in collections it is amount recovered. "22 loan logins a month against a target of 18" is much stronger than "good convincing skills". If your process has a quality score, include it too, because team leaders care about compliance as much as numbers.
Language and communication skills for telecalling jobs
Language is the first filter for telecaller jobs. List every language you can speak comfortably on a call, with an honest level. Hindi and English cover most processes, but regional languages such as Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali or Gujarati can open up better-paid regional processes.
In your skills, mention practical abilities rather than personality words:
- Weak: "Good communication, hard-working, honest."
- Strong: "Outbound calling in Hindi and English, objection handling, script adherence, CRM updates."
If you have typing speed or computer certificates, add them, since most telecallers also enter data in a CRM or Excel sheet during calls.
Telecaller resume for freshers and 12th pass candidates
Telecalling is a common first job, and many companies hire 12th pass candidates and fresh graduates. If you have no work experience, write a short summary about your languages, comfort with phones and computers and willingness to work shifts or meet targets.
Add any experience of talking to customers: helping in a family shop, a part-time job at a mobile store, event volunteering or college admission counselling. Keep the resume to one page with your phone number and city clearly visible at the top.
Do not copy a long objective statement from the internet. Recruiters read many identical lines, so a simple, honest summary with numbers works better. Our resume for freshers guide explains the basics.
Format and template for sales and marketing resumes
Sales and marketing hiring managers in India decide in seconds whether you can deliver numbers, so your format should push results to the surface. Start with a three-line summary that states your years of experience, the industry you sell or market in (FMCG, SaaS, real estate, BFSI, D2C) and one headline achievement. Follow it with Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications under standard headings so Naukri and company ATS software can read them.
For sales roles, every job should show target versus achievement, revenue in ₹ lakh or crore, territory size and the number of dealers, distributors or accounts you handled. For marketing and content roles, show campaign results, budgets, traffic or lead numbers, and add one portfolio or LinkedIn link instead of attaching samples. Keep it to one page under five years of experience and two pages after that. See how numbers are presented in our digital marketing resume example and check the ATS-friendly resume guide before you apply.
