What pharma recruiters check first on a B.Pharm fresher resume

Formulation plants, API units, CROs and hospital or retail pharmacy chains all hire B.Pharm freshers, and each screens for different proof. Manufacturing and QA teams look for GMP awareness, documentation habits and industrial training. Pharmacovigilance and clinical research companies look for medical terminology, case processing basics and good written English. Hospital and retail pharmacies need your pharmacy council registration.

Put the most relevant credential in your summary. For a plant role, lead with industrial training and GMP; for a pharmacist role, lead with your State Pharmacy Council registration; for higher studies or research-linked roles, include your GPAT result.

Writing pharma industrial training in QA language

Most B.Pharm students complete a few weeks of industrial training but describe it as "observed manufacturing processes". Show what you checked and documented, using terms a QA head will recognise:

• "Reviewed 18 batch manufacturing records against SOPs and flagged 7 errors."
• "Recorded weight variation, hardness and friability checks for 9 compression batches."
• "Helped update 12 SOPs and line clearance checklists."

Mention the dosage forms you saw (tablets, capsules, injectables or oral liquids), because plants recruit for specific blocks. Never claim you released batches or signed records; trainees cannot do that, and interviewers know it. Expect questions on deviations, change control and CAPA, so revise these basic QA terms and the main Schedule M requirements before any plant interview.

Projects, registration and career options for B.Pharm graduates

A formulation or analytical project shows lab competence. Give the drug, dosage form, key tests and the result, such as disintegration time or percentage release. Pharmacology projects should mention models and ethics approvals only where they really applied.

Write your registration as "Registered Pharmacist, Telangana State Pharmacy Council" with the year; add the registration number only if the employer asks, as it is personal data. Include Intermediate (BiPC or MPC) and Class 10 marks, because pharma campus drives often ask for 60%. If you are also applying for pharmacovigilance roles, create a second version that leads with drug safety knowledge, MedDRA awareness and written English rather than plant skills.

Format and template for fresher resumes

Recruiters at campus drives and on Naukri spend only a few seconds on a fresher resume, so keep it to one page. Because you have little or no work history, put Education right after a two-line summary: degree, college, university, year and CGPA or percentage, followed by Class 12 and Class 10 rows with board and marks. Many Indian employers still screen on a 60% or 6.0 CGPA cut-off across 10th, 12th and graduation, so missing marks look like you are hiding something.

Next come Projects and Internships, which is where you prove skills. Give each project a title, your role, the tools used and one measurable result. Then add certifications (NPTEL, Tally, NSDC, Google), skills, achievements and languages.
